BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mark Cooley (aka Cooleyvol)

Mark is a veteran online commish with many OOTP leagues under his belt going back to OOTPv2. TSW was a collaborative idea between Mark and fellow Gridiron Glory radio host, John Comey. John had a similar idea in his head and the two of them hashed out an idea that turned into Total Sports World. Freddy Reyes was brought in as the third member of the team and Freddy added his existing pro football league immediately.

Mark started Gridiron Glory with the release of Grey Dog Software's Bowl Bound College Football. Gridiron Glory has been operating since 2005 and now has several seasons under its belt. Cooley's passion for college football is evident in the amount of work put into running Gridiron Glory and the addons that have been added over the years.

He is a veteran tester of OOTP and Total Pro Golf while boasting graphics work in Total Pro Football and an as yet unannounced sports sim. He continues to do freelance graphic work for the software industry when called upon.

A newly appointed Postmaster and employed by the US Post Office since 1996, Mark has two sons, aged 14 and 11, who enjoy traveling to St Louis Cardinal and Tennessee Volunteer contests with their dad.

John Comey (aka jcomey)

John Comey has been around the online sim community since 1998, and the days of FPS BBPro. Jon Johnson, also known as DreamTeams on the OOTP boards, brought John into his MLEB creation. Comey met the community of his dreams...one that shared the same visions he did, where you can write your own sports stories, histories, and destinies.

And so, he has.

Comey has written roughly 2,000 pages worth of material, spent across several ventures, since that first league. He has run, or helped run, several leagues since 1999, with games such as High Heat, OOTP, and Total Pro Football. Lately, he has joined forces with "The General", Mark Cooley, to branch out into radio. The spawn of their creation, Gridiron Radio, has enticed literally tens...maybe even dozens...of listeners to give a second show a try.

In addition to his efforts with leagues, Comey has also operated behind the scenes. He has worked on beta teams with Out of the Park, Gary Gorski's Total College Basketball and Total Pro Basketball, and Total Pro Football. Comey penned the wondrous TPF technical guide, which served no real purpose, but looked flashy all the same.

Professionally, Comey has worked for various personal non-profit organizations (i.e he makes no money, but makes a difference) since 2002, upon graduating from Bloomsburg University with a BA in Mass Communications. He thinks, maybe, one day, he will actually use the degree for something he studied. He also writes poetry (was once invited to a convention in Las Vegas with special guest stars Ruben Studdard and "TV's Tony Orlando"), operates a popular blog on MySpace (The Blog O' Incoherence), and fails to understand women.

(Oh, and Comey is also a Philadelphia fan, across the board. This is the reason for all the sarcasm, self-deprecation, and frustration. He's also sure it's the reason for failing to understanding women, but he's just not sure how it all ties in just yet.)

Freddy Reyes (aka asaintsfan)

Freddy Reyes is a retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant who continues to wear the uniform of the Marine Corps as a Marine Instructor at Chester High School in Chester PA. He spent 21 years and 6 months in the Marine Corps. He was born and raised in New Orleans LA and, unfortunately, he attended his first Saints game in 1971 at the tender age of 8. The Saints lost and he quickly became hooked on the losing franchise. From watching Archie Manning's first game to sitting in the superdome with a bag on his head, Freddy his been there through thick and thin.

His introduction into gaming came when he got his first APBA game way back in the early 70's, electric football followed, Football Strategy, Statis Pro Football and then came adulthood. As an adult he was introduced to many online games and then came OOTP - (sound the trumpets) and he was hooked. He has been with OOTP since it's inception. He has run the Total Pro Football League, NFLSim for a couple of years. He has a self taught graphics genius (a little strong maybe) but he loves to bring players to life.

He has been married for 24 years and has three kids. His oldest son just completed 4 years in the Marine Corps. His middle son is in his 5th year at Penn State where he look major in computer engineering and become an Officer in the Marine Corps. His youngest daughter was just accepted to Penn State and plans to attend there in the fall to major in Athletic Training.

Mike Dills (aka USBACommish)

Mike has been playing OOTP since the days of OOTP2 all the way through its Season Ticket Baseball stages up to today. Before he discovered the statistic filled text based sims, Mike compiled all the work himself. Back in the days of the original Nintendo, Mike played Baseball Simulator 1000 like it was going out of style. There were spreadsheets galore with as many statistics that he could manage to keep track of himself. Once he discovered the text based games, he was hooked. It all started out with Baseball Mogul and then eventually dropped everything to play OOTP. He eventually branched out to other sports sims like Total Pro Football, The College Years, and now getting in to Bowl Bound College Football.

Mike has been a member of the USBA since April of 2003 (1989 Season). Starting in the 2004 season, Mike took over as Commissioner of the USBA. The USBA is one of the longest standing and well known fictional baseball leagues which has over 20 seasons under its belt. Mike also runs the Columbus Knights organization in the USBA whom have been in a rebuilding phase for some time now, or so he says. The Knights have been on a downhill slide ever since they won the division in the 1998 season.

In May of 2003 Mike graduated from WVU with a BS in Computer Engineering. He has always loved computers and sports alike, and what better way to put them together than with text based sims. Mike now resides in Southern Ohio where he is an Engineer for a Medical Imaging company. Mike is a huge college football fan and closely follows WVU and Marshall. On the Professional sports scene, he has always been a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan along with the Astros and White Sox in baseball.

James LeBlond (aka eMLBCommish)
For as long as he can remember, LB has had some form of leadership role when it came to gaming. From back in the early 80s having sheets of paper listing high scores in various Odyssey games, to when he got his first computer and had Tony LaRussa and NHL Hockey leagues, to when the online craze completely began with Front Page Sports: Baseball & Football.

LB has been involved in online baseball especially since 1994, and after spending a few years as an owner, decided to once again take up his desire to entertain people in an environment he truly desired, the internet. On July 19, 2000, along with fellow TSW Director John Comey, Electronic Major League Baseball (eMLB) was born. It began using High Heat 2000, but as that franchise was beginning to fall apart, LB decided to make a tactic move over to the Out of the Park (OOTP) series, having been a customer since OOTP3.

LB is a veteran of all above listed games, as well as Total Pro Football, and a few MMORPGs. James was also a beta tester for the OOTP 2007 release that he now uses for eMLB. Not to sound completely geeky, but he does have a life outside of the internet world.

James is husband to his wife of six years, Jessica. He’s also father to his beautiful two year old daughter, Annika. James is an avid (if crappy) golfer, and also plays baseball in an over-30 year old wood bat fast pitch baseball league in the summertime. He is a 10 year financial planner and investment money manager, who created his own firm called LeBlond Financial in 2005.
